It was a cold and silent night. The entire house was quiet, and the only sound was the ticking of the clock on the wall. The girl slowly walked down the hallway toward her parents’ bedroom. She was looking for her mother because she needed to talk to her.
As she gently opened the door, the light from the bedside lamp revealed something she never expected to see.
Her father was lying on the bed… but beside him was another woman, peacefully sleeping.
For a moment, the girl froze. Her heart started beating fast. She felt like the ground beneath her feet had disappeared. Her mind refused to believe what her eyes were seeing.
Her father… the man she trusted the most… the man she always believed was a hero… had betrayed her mother.
Tears slowly filled her eyes, but along with the pain, a deep anger began to grow inside her.
She stepped closer to the bed and suddenly shouted,
“Dad! Wake up!”
Her father woke up in shock and looked at her with confusion. When he saw the anger and tears in his daughter’s eyes, his face immediately turned pale.
“W-what are you doing here?” he asked nervously.
The girl clenched her fists and said with a trembling voice,
“Don’t ask me that. Instead ask yourself what YOU are doing!”
Her voice grew louder as the pain in her heart exploded.
“You always told me that family is the most important thing… that we should never hurt the people we love. But look at you now!”
Her father tried to say something, but no words came out.
The girl pointed toward the woman sleeping beside him.
“Dad… you are a cheater. You betrayed my mother. You destroyed our family.”
Tears started rolling down her cheeks.
“I respected you… I trusted you… I loved you more than anyone. You were my hero.”
She paused for a moment, her voice shaking.
“But today I realized… you are not the man I thought you were.”
Her father lowered his head in shame. The silence in the room felt heavier than ever.
Then the girl wiped her tears and said the words that broke her father’s heart.
“From today… you are no longer my hero. You broke my trust… and I don't love you anymore.”
After saying that, she slowly turned around and walked out of the room.
Her father sat there silently, realizing that in one night he had lost the most precious thing in his life — his daughter's trust. And sometimes… broken trust can never be repaired.
